400th Anniversary First Edition 1611 King James Bible

- Limited Edition of Most Printed Book in History of the World is Exact Size as Original -

Santa Ana, CA -- July 27, 2010 – Codra Enterprises, Inc. announced today that they have been chosen to reproduce the true first edition of the beloved 1611 King James Bible, the most printed book in the history of the world. This faithful reproduction of the King James Pulpit Bible is an example of the finest printing craftsmanship. More than a "facsimile," it is a masterpiece.

Gary Kim, CEO of Codra said, "It is an honor that The Bible Museum has chosen us to produce a Bible of such importance to the Christian world. Bible printing is one of the most demanding of all printing projects."

Dr. Craig Lampe, owner of The Bible Museum said, "We chose Codra to make this rare edition because they have the experience and knowledge in Bible printing to ensure a faithful reproduction. It is constructed of the highest quality, thick chocolate-brown calf leather, over five layers of solid wooden boards, with extra-heavy-duty stitching and raised spine bands with gold stamping; no detail was overlooked."

Bible Details

Measuring the exact size of the original 1611 printing - an enormous 17 inches tall by 12 inches wide by 5½ inches thick (including its slipcase) - this is one of the finest reproductions of the 1611 ever undertaken. Even the small quantity of decorative red ink in the prefatory section has been faithfully reproduced.

The slip case has a special raised bottom sleeve to support the weight of the pages when standing upright. Over $100,000 went into the production set-up for this magnificent creation.
